Generate Picture

Piccyfix is fun, cool, free and online.

Piccyfix is a fun online photo and image processing tool that helps you personalise and improve your pics.

There are lots of free, fun sites online to allow you to do cool effects. Piccyfix is SO easy to use - give it a try! It's the easiest image tool on the net!

After using Piccyfix, feel free to explore the links on this page that will take you to other free fun things online, like ringtones, music downloads, games, puzzles, skins, albums, chat sites, social network sites, image hosting etc. Clicking these fun links keeps Piccyfix free, and will hopefully take you to more free fun stuff online, just like Piccyfix.

How Generate works

While running through the steps of the wizard, you can see a thumbnail view of your picture. The final Generate page takes all the things you've asked and modifies your original image.

Note that you can only choose Hosting and Gallery options before you upload. If you want to change these options, please re-upload the picture again with the options that you want.

Generate Picture and add to the Gallery

From the home page, if you chose to add your picture to the gallery, the logo at the top changes to Gallery->Yes, and you will be offered a chance to add a nickname and picture caption to the picture that goes into the gallery.

Both fields are optional. If you leave them blank, the nickname will shown in the image as (Anon), and the caption will be blank. Never supply your full name here, or anything that can identify. Just like a non-private MySpace profile, the Piccyfix Gallery gallery is public, so anyone can look at the pictures.

After the generation has finished, click on the link for the Piccyfix Gallery, et voila! Your picture will be there (latest pictures are shown at the top of the gallery)

Download your Fixed Picture to your Computer

After the final image is generated, you will always been given a link to Download your fixed piccy to your computer.

When you click on this link, IE7, Firefox, and Opera browsers will either ask you what to do with the image eg. Open it with your default graphics program, or save to disk. The Safari browser just downloads the iamge and shows it in the browser, then you can save it to the desktop or elsewhere.

If it seems that clicking on the Download link on the Generate page does nothing at all, it's likely that your browser has already downloaded the image and put it in it's default download location.

The default download location for most browsers is either the Desktop or My Documents, so check there first. The downloaded image always begins with piccyfix_ , followed by some numbers, and then the original filename from the upload. eg. piccyfix_1188974673_my-nice-pic.jpg

if you still can't find it, do a file search for documents on your pc starting with piccfix_

If Piccyfix had a problem generating an image, it will usually give you an error telling you what happened. If there isn't an error on the generate page, you can usually assume the piccy has already been downloaded, it's just a case of finding it.

Note that the download link expires in an hour(your uploaded image and other images for each step are deleted automatically for your privacy), and so you can't use the link after that. If you want a longer term link, please use Piccyfix Hosting.

Generate and Host Picture

From the home page, if you chose to host your picture, the logo at the top changes to Host->Yes

After the generation has finished, an extra link is given 'The Link to your Hosted Picture'. This is a different link than the one for Downloading to your computer.

Copy and paste all components of the Hosting link (else it might not work) to your html or myspace editor, and paste the link in to your page.

Save your modified page and refresh it in a browser, et voila! your picture will be there.

If this seems to work at first, but after a while, instead of your picture being shown in the page, a Piccyfix Logo is shown in it's place, then the link has expired and the image has been deleted.

If this happens, please look at the Hosting page for more details.
