Personal Use Only, and 'Reasonable Use'
This free site is for personal (not professional) use only. If you are not intending to use it for personal use, or you want to fix many/extremely large pictures, you would be better served by downloading software to do it directly from your pc.
The Piccyfix Free Hosting service is for a typical MySpace profile. It's not for really heavy usage. Any hosted pictures that are obviously being hosted by Piccyfix for a high traffic or non-personal site (eg a public forum somewhere) will be removed immediately.
Currently, there are no upload limits in terms of the number of pictures a single person can upload for free hosting. If this is abused, we may introduce a registration process and/or charging.
No guarantees
PiccyFix is a free service, and no guarantee or warrantee is given that it works perfectly. Occasionally we bring the servers down for routine maintainance, during which time it will not be possible to either fix your pics or view images hosted by Piccyfix.
Piccyfix Free Hosting is a new trial service, and if it is abused, the service may disappear without warning. For this reason, please keep a backup of all your original files that you uploaded.
No illegal pictures
As this is an automated, instant service, no-one 'approves' the uploaded pictures, so please remember that it's your responsibility to make sure that you're staying within the law of your land, or any land. If in doubt, don't upload it. This is expecially true for hosted pictures.
No copyright violations
You must own the copyright of the picture you are using, or failing that, you must have permission from the copyright owner to use the picture. It's your responsibility to make sure that you have copyright before uploading or asking us to host a picture.
In simple terms, don't take a picture from somewhere (eg another web site), upload it to PiccyFix, fix it, then pass it off as your own picture. If you do, the original copyright owner - usually the person who took the photo, or the organisation who owns the photo - can take legal action against you.
If you can prove that you are the copyright owner for a picture which has been uploaded by someone else, and hosted by us, please let us know via the contact page, and it will be removed immediately.
No 'permanent' Picture Hosting for stale images
If we host a picture for you, and it is not accessed (ie a web page somewhere loads the picture to display)for any 30 consecutive days, the link will expire and the picture will be deleted.
If this happens you are free to upload and re-host the picture again at any time,
No messing with the hosting link we give you
The hosting link we give you will show your picture in your web page, and if anyone clicks on that picture, Piccyfix.com will load in a new browser window.
Please do not modify the link to change any of this behaviour.
No automated bots
You're not permitted to use automated scripts, programs of any kind to automatically submit and fix your images.
Banning
We reserve the right to ban anyone using this site if any of the above terms and conditions are violated.
